Searching Cases by Name
There is no free public name-search form for Kemper County. For Circuit and Chancery courts that have adopted the state's electronic system, the remote route is Public Access to Mississippi Electronic Courts, known as PAMEC. It requires a registered account. So the first job is figuring out which court holds the matter. Circuit, Chancery, Justice Court, and municipal cases do not share one county search box.
Search with the fullest party name or caption you have. An empty result may mean you queried the wrong court. Or the file simply is not online. The clerk can confirm the court level and filing year. The clerk can also tell you whether the record is electronic, paper, archived, or restricted.
- Identify the likely court from the case type, notice, citation, or prior filing.
- Gather the full party name, alternate spelling, approximate filing year, and any case number.
- Register for PAMEC when remote Circuit or Chancery access is needed.
- After access is active, select the adopted court and use the available case query.
- Confirm the court and caption before relying on a docket entry or requesting a copy.
Kemper PAMEC Case Registration
PAMEC registration gives you three account paths: Attorney, Non-Attorney, and Firm Administrator. A member of the public takes the non-attorney route. You accept the public-user terms. Next you enter your account information, pick a payment method, and finish verification. After that, remote access opens for a Kemper County court docket search from home.
Know the limits, though. PAMEC is read-only, and it does not mean every Kemper County case is digitized. Justice Court and municipal matters may still need a call. Or visit the issuing court.
The official PAMEC registration screen is where the documented remote route to Kemper County case records begins. It lays out each step of the signup.
The choice controls registration details, not post-login query fields.
Kemper PAMEC Search Costs
Reading a docket from home through PAMEC costs money. The PAMEC public-user terms set a $10 annual registration or renewal fee. Results are billed at $0.20 per page returned. You are not billed by how many pages you open or print later. A search with no match still counts as one page. Since billing arrives on quarterly statements, search with exact case numbers when you can.
You can pay online by card or electronic check. That adds a third-party charge. Or mail a paper check and wait longer for access. These fees cover PAMEC remote use only. The official payment-method screen spells out the two choices an account holder can pick.
Payment selection is part of account setup and does not reveal case results.
Searching by Case Number
An exact case number is the strongest identifier in a Kemper County case search. No official local source publishes a Kemper number format or code pattern. So copy the number exactly as it appears on a summons, court notice, filed paper, judgment, citation, or clerk communication. Treat exact number from the court notice as an instruction rather than a sample. Never add a year, court code, or punctuation the record does not show.
If the number returns nothing, confirm the court before changing the search. A Circuit number may not surface in a Chancery query. A municipal appeal may carry a new Circuit number. And a legacy paper file may not be searchable remotely at all. The clerk can verify which office holds the record without disclosing restricted information.
Kemper PAMEC Account Fields
The PAMEC public account flow defines a specific set of registration fields. This is an account-field inventory, not a reconstructed case-search form. Post-login query labels, filters, wildcard rules, and result controls belong to the system itself, and none are described here.

The personal-information page records the identity and sign-in portion of the account setup.
These values create a public-user account before any electronic case information becomes available. The organization-information page appears only when the chosen account route requires it.
Its conditional fields are account details, not docket metadata or party-search filters. The security-questions page completes another registration step in the same flow.
Security answers and CAPTCHA verification protect the account. They do not change a court docket's public status.
What a Case Search Returns
For an authorized public user, the docket sheet is a dated register of filings, notices, settings, orders, and results. The official terms permit docket sheets, notices, and allowed documents, but not every document image is public. Before relying on any result, compare the caption, court, and status.
| Case number | The court's unique identifier, best copied exactly from a court document or notice. |
|---|---|
| Style or parties | The caption and party roles when the case display exposes them. |
| Court and case type | The Circuit, Chancery, or other court context needed to route a request. |
| Filed date and status | Timing and current or closed posture when available in the case view. |
| Docket entries | Dated filings, orders, hearings, notices, and disposition activity. |
| Flags or restrictions | Status labels that can explain limited documents or a protected result. |
Kemper Case Search Flags
The Tenth Circuit MEC Court Information page publishes system flags such as Arraignment Pending, BOUND OVER, PRE TRIAL, Plea Pending, Trial Pending, SEALED, EXPUNGED, and Municipal Court Appeal. Read these labels as clues. A flag may mark a pending step, an access restriction, or a case's path up from a lower court. It is no substitute for the dated docket entries themselves.
- SEALED
- The court has restricted public access to the case or material under an order or governing law.
- EXPUNGED
- A system flag indicating an expunction-related restriction; public content may be unavailable.
- BOUND OVER
- A local MEC flag that can show movement from a preliminary stage toward the trial court.
- Municipal Court Appeal
- A flag that can signal a new Circuit-level appeal record rather than the original town-court file.
Note: A flag only explains the system's status label. For the current record and any access procedure, the originating clerk remains the correct source.
Statewide vs County Case Search
Mississippi Electronic Courts is a statewide platform, but only for courts that have adopted MEC. PAMEC is not a free, all-court Mississippi name-search site, and Kemper County publishes no countywide public case form. The real choice is between remote access to an adopted Kemper Circuit or Chancery deployment and going straight to the office that holds the record.
| PAMEC remote access | Local clerk or issuing court |
|---|---|
| Subscriber access to participating MEC courts | Routes Circuit, Chancery, Justice, and municipal matters by custodian |
| Non-restricted electronic docket sheets and permitted documents | Electronic, legacy paper, archived, or restricted-file guidance |
| $10 annual account plus $0.20 per search-result page | Ask the office about any copy, certification, or search fee |
| Best when the right adopted court is known | Best when the court, availability, or access level is uncertain |
Kemper Circuit Case Search
Kemper County Circuit Court sits in the Tenth Circuit Court District. Its MEC Court Information page lists the MEC/CM/ECF V4.0 system and gives a Kemper Circuit go-live date of April 14, 2025. Circuit criminal cases and Circuit-level civil filings all rest with the Kemper County Circuit Clerk. The Chancery Clerk does not hold them, and neither does a town municipal court.
Treat that date as an access milestone only. It does not mean every older Circuit matter is online. A legacy case might need a clerk or archive request, and a lower-court case may not reach Circuit until an appeal lands there. When a Kemper County court docket search comes up empty, age is often the reason.
Kemper Chancery Case Search
Kemper County Chancery Court belongs to the Sixth Chancery District. Its Sixth Chancery MEC page shows a Kemper go-live date of November 3, 2017. Kemper has no county court. Youth-court matters flow to the Chancery Clerk along with divorce, estates, guardianships, land, and equity filings. The Circuit Clerk is the wrong office for any of these.
Published Chancery flags include Minor_Child, DHS, GAL, guardian-plan, and conservator-plan labels. They explain protected material. They do not lift any bar. Rule or statute still governs disclosure. A Kemper County case lookup may still come back limited.
Access and Restricted Cases
Mississippi public-record access runs through court rules, sealing orders, expunction, and confidentiality statutes. The Mississippi Public Records Act information page lays out the state's access policy. Its exemptions appear there too. Judicial records can carry separate restrictions of their own. Youth Court records involving children stay confidential, generally, under Mississippi Code section 43-21-261. A public docket search may omit a matter entirely. Or it may show only a thin status line.
Tags often explain a missing result or document. Look for SEALED, EXPUNGED, Minor_Child, and DHS. Ask the originating clerk what procedure fits an authorized requester. Never ask staff to sidestep a restriction. A missing name in court records is not proof that a case never existed.
Kemper Missing Case Routes
A Kemper County docket search that returns nothing deserves a second pass. Recheck the court, the spelling, the caption, and the filing year. Circuit criminal and civil records go to the Circuit Clerk. Domestic, estate, land, guardianship, and youth records go to the Chancery Clerk. Justice Court and municipal matters use their own channels. The Kemper County Courts page helps with that local routing.
Age can hide a file too. An older matter may predate the electronic system or still sit in paper or archived form. A restricted case may be absent on purpose. Need a hearing date? Confirm with the clerk or court administrator. Published court terms are not the same as a case-specific setting on the calendar.
Kemper Clerk Case Viewing
The Mississippi MEC administrative procedures let the public view electronic civil and criminal documents in the clerk's office during regular hours. Restrictions still apply. That in-office viewing is free. Getting a reproduction, plain copy, certified copy, or archived file is a separate transaction.
Bring the case number or caption with you. Say what you need. Do you want to inspect a docket, obtain a document, or request a certified record? The county's Circuit Clerk page and Chancery Clerk page cover the two principal record custodians. For copies and court-file requests, the separate Kemper County court records route has the details.
